Brussels blinks: the EU agrees to delay the AI Act's high-risk deadlines.

In a provisional Digital Omnibus agreement reached 7 May 2026, the European Parliament and the Council moved Annex III high-risk obligations from 2 August 2026 to 2 December 2027, with product-embedded (Annex I) systems shifting to 2 August 2028. The deal is provisional and awaits formal adoption.
